The Family Connection Inc. Board of Directors Announces New Interim President

The Board of Directors of Family Connection Inc. is very excited to announce John Shue as the new Interim President & CEO. John will be assisted by his wife Lynda who brings expertise in financial matters relating to residential care, as well as federal, state and local public funding streams.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Chairman Hollie Sharpe offers these warm thoughts, "I would like to welcome John and Lynda Shue as our newest leadership team for Family Connection, Inc. We are thrilled to have this couple coming to serve our organization. As Interim President for Family Connection, Inc., John will be responsible for Hope Hill Children's Home (Hope, KY) and Triple L Youth Ranch (Anderson, IN). John will be able to utilize his experience, knowledge and wisdom in directing and leading our staff in providing the best possible care for our residents. We have been praying for a team like John & Lynda to "pick up the ball" and move FCI forward."

John comes with a wealth of experience in residential treatment. He was the Executive Director for Triple L Youth Ranch for 13 years, from 1971 to 1984, when the organization was located in Center, Colorado. He served in roles including Administrator, Clinical Director, Ranch Manager as well as a variety of other progressive positions. Since that time, John was President/ CEO El Pueblo Boys' & Girls' Ranch in Pueblo, CO for 17 years. John was also Consultant/ Administrator and Director of Development for Children's ARK, Inc. in Green Mt. Falls, CO for two years and Cornell Companies’ Southern Peaks Regional Treatment Center for four years.

As you can easily see from the above description, we are blessed to have both John and Lynda Shue come to contribute to the ministry of Family Connection, Inc. John's extensive experience in law enforcement and residential treatment and management make him uniquely qualified to assume this position.



  • Family Connection Inc.is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) agency that specializes in working with neglected and abused young people and their families. We exist to provide a safe and therapeutic environment in which we can address the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of youth and families in crisis. We are nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA).

  • Hope Hill Children's Home is located in Hope, Kentucky. Hope Hill started out as an orphanage for orphaned or abandoned children and has since developed into a leading residential treatment facility for neglected and abused teenage girls in crisis.

  • Triple L Youth Ranch started in Colorado as a residential treatment facility for young men. In 1986 it was moved to Anderson, Indiana. Currently Triple L serves adolesent girls as well as pregnant and or parenting teens and their children.
